Lipa Schmeltzer Backs Out Of Big Event Concert!

Lipa has informed Everyone that he will not be singing at The Big Event Concert. This decision was reached after he consulted with Daas Torah, and talking to leading Gedoley Yisroel.

When this story gets out in the New York Times, and around the world, the gedolim will (again) be compared to the Taliban. This could have been handled much much better. Add this to the Judaism and science controversy of last year (which also received a lot of press in the secular world), and they will think we're planning a return to the Dark Ages, and will somehow predict that we will next start advocating suicide bombings (G-d forbid!). You heard it here first.

It's beyond me. Here we have jewish entertainment, in a jewish enviornment-its BANNED. These rabonim are asking us to go elsewhere.
