Mizumen! Video Preview

Heshy Rubin, Srully Williger & Gideon Levine bring us the brand new super group, Mizumen! Enjoy this stunning video promo featuring 4 of the songs from the upcoming album, Do the Daf, Hinei Anochi, Mimkomcha & Our Identity. Video filmed & edited by Schneur Menaker and produced by Sruly Meyer.

Heshy Rubin released his first album, Let There Be Peace, in 1999, after being urged by both Mordechai Ben David and Sheya Mendlowitz to share his music with the world. After singing his emotional composition about Holocaust survivors “Who’s Gonna Tell Their Story” at Lincoln Center in 2006, Rubin felt the need to share more of his compositions, though not as a solo artist. He recruited Srully Williger to join him and when they recorded their first song at Gideon Levine’s GYL Studios, they realized they had found their third voice, with Levine rounding out the mizumin.

Featuring seven songs by Rubin himself, and songs by Yossi Green, Tzali Stern and a classic song by R’ Yechiel Mechel Rubin, A’H, this ten song album features music that is fresh and innovative, without ever losing its Yiddishe ta’am. With arrangements by musical greats Yisroel Lamm and Yaron Gershovsky and vocal arrangements by Gideon Levine, this album, which is set to debut after Yom Kippur, will be a welcome addition to the Jewish music scene.

The CD is expected in stores September 19th.
