On Motzoi Shabbos, 31 January 2009 at the Norrice Lea Syanagogue, London, HAMPSTEAD GARDEN Suburb Synagogue held their annual concert in aid of the Jewish community of Lvov in the Ukraine. Over 600 guests attending the concert in the Shul were entertained by world-renowned cantors Yitzchok Meir Helfgott & Avromi Freilich. They were accompanied by the Ne'imah Singers and conducted by Marc Temerlies (son-in-law of Chazzan Hershtik)
The evening raised more than £80,000 in support of the Ukranian Jewish community in the town of Lvov. The proceeds will go to help with the running costs of the community's school and synagogue and help support various vital welfare projects.
