This Chol Hamoed Pesach – 2 blockbusters shows at Brooklyn College. MIAMI EXPERIENCE 3 – THE BIG PREVIEW. The Japan Song Music Video
Inspired by the success of the Unity music video which featured Jewish music’s best and brightest working together to raise funds and awareness for Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin, singer Shloime Daskal decided to embark on a similar project of his own.
He contacted Unity producer Danny Finkelman and suggested another video, this one to be filmed at the Japanese prison where I

Joining Shloime Daskal for this blockbuster project is Jewish music superstar Avraham Fried and the two will sing a cover of Yaakov Shwekey’s “Tatte”, which was in and of itself a remake of Abie Rotenberg’s “In A Vinkele” from Dveykus Volume 2. The project, which is produced by Teltech Entertainment of Toms River, New Jersey, will be produced and directed by Finkelman who will be joined by Unity veterans Ilya Lishinsky (musical production)and Mauricio Arenas (film cinematagrophy). New lyrics in both Yiddish and English were written for the song by Moti Ilowitz and Moshe Kravitzky.
“While we all daven for these boys to a certain extent we have all become oblivious to their plight,” explained Finkelman in an exclusive interview from Japan with VIN News. “We need to keep this on the front burner. These boys need both our donations and our tefilos.”
Finkelman was quick to point out that while he is hard at work finishing up his documentary on Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin, the two cases are really part of the same whole.
“In both the Rubashkin case and the case of the bochurim who are incarcerated in Japan, the punishment does not fit the crime. The Gemara tells us that if you daven for someone who has the same need as you, your tefillos are answered first, so I think that by helping other prisoners in need, it can have a positive impact on the Rubashkin case as well. In fact, I visited the boys in prison today and Zev Goldstein mentioned that not only did he write a letter to Rubashkin but he prays for him as well.”

Purim 2011/5771 Ad D'lo Yoda from the best in Jewish Music!
Gold Label Productions? Yes. There’s a new production company in town, owned by Lipa Feldman who came up with this amazing idea. Every year thousands of Bochurim scour the globe to collect muchly needed money for Yeshivas, Mosdos and Tzedaka. Each group has its own unique way of being Mesameach the households that they visit. Most bring some kind of music with them. Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was music specifically designed for this purpose? So Lipa contacted the most musically talented individuals he knows, the Freilach Band; Mendy Hershkowitz, Avrumi Schreiber and Nachman Dryer, they loved the idea so much that they went to work immediately. Selecting hits, from all sects of Chassidus and Yeshivish Oilam. Not just freilach sets but discos horas and a little of something new. Lipa (Gold Label Productions) contacted the hottest names in the wedding circuit to see what they thought. The response was so positive that there just wasn’t enough material for the amount of artists who wanted to participate. Seven of the most talented singers/performers are featured on this amazing project. In alphabetical order; Yoely Greenfeld, Levy Falkowitz, Yumi Lowy, Chilu Posen, Michoel Schnitzler, Shloime Taussig, Beri Weber and Yisroel Werdyger. Their vocals blend flawlessly with the music orchestrated by the Freilach band with arrangements by Mendy Hershkowitz. Yet they wondered how to “up the ante” even more. It was then that Yoely Polatseck of the renown Zemiros Choir stepped in to complete the.

Purim In Jerusalem With A Capalia - Chilik Frank
One of the artists that just don’t stop, is Yerushalmi Klezmer artists Chilik Frank. A few months ago he won first place at a Festival in Amsterdam for his composition with Naor Carmi called “HaLev V’HaMayan”, and now he is releasing an a new album that lively aptly named “Purim B’Yerushalayim”.
Chilik Frank, a young yeshiva student, barely 30, already has 10 albums to his name. In order to understand his secret one must go up to Meiron on the Yahrzheit of Moshe Rabbeinu (Zayin Adar) and watch him closely. Chilik Frank finds it beneficial to connect with the old niggunim by davening with them in a beautiful natural setting that leaves him with a deep sense of devotion.
Perhaps this is the reason why he is the only one who managed to cross each sector and is welcome to play at many weddings, public – national events, even folkloric performances in the Tel Aviv Museum. As well as dancing and singing all night at the Simchat Beit Hashoaiva of Toldos Aharon.
After two years of a more general audience appeal with the song “HaLev V’HaMayan”, he now returns toa more specific one. A month ago, he entered the studio of producer and arranger Jeff Horvitch. His defined goal was to bring the joy of Purim in Jerusalem to every home Israel. Recruited to help work are violinist Oren Tsur, Menachem Herman and other guitarist artists and friends. The result – a real celebration of Purim In Jerusalem.
The album is divided into several long strings: The first strings are all Purim songs, other strings include exciting melodies based mainly on the chasidus Breslov and Chabad.
This album is the first of a series for the holidays, a series with a special surprise: Each album comes out in two versions: Standard klezmer version – instrumental, and full-length version of songs performed by a chorus of Chasidim giving it an authentic feel.

It’s been three and a half years since the release of Michoel Pruzansky’s last cd and his third album is due to hit store shelves in time for Purim. The CD is titled MP3, the album contains ten songs by some of the best composers in the Jewish music world including Yitzy Waldner, Yochanan Shapiro, Elie Schwab and a joint composition by Baruch Levine and Yitzy Bald. Also on board are arrangers Yanky Briskman, Elie Laufer, Ilya Lishinsky, Ian Frietor, Ruli Ezrahi and Leib Yacov Rigler.
